Environmental & digital advertising campaign
Nordstrom Rack opened its Calgary, Canada, location in April of 2018, and a marketing campaign was implemented to generate buzz and create brand awareness before and after the opening. My role was to design all of the digital ads, as well as graphics and signage for a VW promo bus. Photography shot on vibrant backgrounds was primarily used so that the advertising stood out whether it was on a bus or sandwiched within the content of a web page. The store opening info was highlighted on equally vibrant horizontal stripes that were translucent in order to add depth and some airiness to the design.
VW promo bus wrap and menu board. The bus acted as a moving billboard to promote the impending store opening. It included a photo booth and made specific stops around Calgary to hand out Rack promo merchandise and coupons
The rear of the bus was used as the photo booth backdrop and utilized Calgary- and fashion-related icons that were part of the Calgary store's evergreen graphics.
