KEXP is a nonprofit arts organization based in Seattle, WA, that serves music lovers and co-sponsors an event called "Music Heals: Beyond Cancer." I designed the February 2018 event materials, and my final design evokes an acoustic guitar with the event logo acting as its bridge and heart-shaped tuning pegs mirroring the heart at the center of the logo. While normally rendered as black or brown in illustrations, the sound hole of the guitar was instead saturated with a vivid orange and pink gradient to represent a symbol of hope—the sunrise.
